Funny enough, I find that most of the music that comes to mind when I think “love songs” is stuff about heartbreak. That said, I find something endlessly endearing and lovely about Bobbie Gentry’s “Sunday Best.”
"Stuff about heartbreak" could be a genre unto itself, eh? I had to make a surprisingly concerted effort to lean away from those in creating this playlist. I've often suspected that my own personal propensity for melodrama comes from equal fascination with both sides of the love song coin.
